Great dogie hotel. We had to evacuate South Florida from Irma. We were able to score a suite for several days here the staff is great. The ingress & egress with the dog via the stairwells works well. The dog area is small and a lot of losers left poop. But there is a church behind the Melting Pot next door with a large open space.
Best hotel I have ever stayed at! They accommodate you to feel as if you're home!
It was very clean, peaceful, quiet. There were movies you can rent at the front desk for free, and beach items, cards, games, dishes you can also borrow for free. Had a nice little 'store' that you can help yourself too. Only 4 stars because 1, it took us over an hour to check in after check-in time (health department was there, wouldn't let anyone check in so not really they're fault) BUT they gave us a free upgrade for the inconvenience. 2, we called to see if it was free breakfast they said yes, and it ended up being $2 (no big deal, good size, but still was told it was free). 3, housekeeping didn't come the 1st day and we needed them too. 4, they put our card on hold for accommodation when we already paid in full when we booked. Still waiting for the $ back, and it's been almost a week.
Our stay at the Candlewood has highly enjoyable. We were less than 10 minutes from the beach (directions were provided at check-in). I was impressed by the selection available in the "cupboard" too. There were also many items available for "check out" including board games, movies, and beach toys. We will certainly look forward to staying here again in the future.
Great place, clean rooms, friendly people, and it's pet friendly. The only reason would not give 5 stars is the beds are not as comfortable as I would expect. The mattress seems a little old and springy, but that's not to say that I didn't sleep well, I did. Just the mattresses could have been a little more quiet when getting in and out. The room had a kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, and a full size refrigerator. There was also a recliner. Really enjoyed the room when we were in it. I would stay in the Candlewood Inn again for sure. Price was reasonable for a holiday.
